I love xmas. In addition to it being the best time of the year, it’s also the time I get to crank up my xmas playlist. My Top 5 xmas songs certainly aren’t traditional, but they are AWESOME.

Last night Liz and I decorated my very first Christmas tree since moving out. It’s weird having only my ornaments on it, because my brother, my sister, and I have a lot of ornaments that are part of sets, and we used to group them on the family tree together. This is also the first time I’ve had a fake Christmas tree, because my landlord won’t let me have a real one. I don’t mind it actually. It looks real, and I didn’t have to string any lights! I think it came out really well. I have lots of my own ornaments because my parents have given me a new one every year since I was born. If you wanna know just how much of a geek I am, click the left image to enlarge it and see what kind of ornaments I have on there…lol. The right image is taken without a flash.

After about 2 1/2 – 3 hours work, I just finished converting my second pack of Oreos into white and dark chocolate-covered goodness. Something about doing a repetitive task like this is peaceful to me, almost like meditating. Helps keep my mind off of things at least. Having Howard Stern in my ear the whole time is certainly an aid to the distraction. I go about this candy-making process every Christmas and I’ve been approached several times by people who would like to purchase these and other candies I make in the future. Come Valentine’s time, you may see some of this stuff for sale.
