Brandon Webb has seemed a bit more confident than usual since the acquisition of his mysterious bag. Witnesses in the locker room claim they’d heard Webb talking to the bag, referring to it as a “soul”, and muttering about “the time approaching.” It would seem that Webb isn’t the only member of the roster that has an interest in the bag, as BerZerker was preoccupied with taking it from The Devil’s Reject during their bout in Dedham.
However, the bag hasn’t been the only recent distraction for The Knight Angel. The music of the missing-in-action Cenobite has interrupted him on numerous occasions. Has the monster turned the tables by using the BerZerker’s own head games against him? Not only could a monster be looming in the background, but Mike Volpe appears to have turned on his friend as well, superkicking BerZerker when he felt the hero didn’t have his back in Needham.
After Brandon Webb’s illegal use of the bag as a weapon in Dedham, the Championship Committee has taken possession of the mysterious satchel. At WrestleFest, the “soul” will be suspended from a pole attached to a turnbuckle, with the victor being the man who can be the first to climb up and retrieve it. Can an “Angel” save us all or will a “Devil” unleash hell on NCW?

I’ve been slacking heavily in the blogging department. I find that I tend to go through spurts of it here and there, then trail off for awhile, then back into it. My free time has been very well spent lately, so I’ll update on that along with some other things that have been going on.
The biggest of recent events is unfortunately a sad one. A couple weeks ago, a first-grade teacher at my school died suddenly. It caught everyone off-guard. From what I’ve heard, she had trouble breathing that morning, was rushed to the hospital, then her heart stopped and there was nothing they could do. At this point the school is back to a somewhat normal functionality, but for a few days it was a strange feeling. On one hand, it was very sad and tragic. There were both teachers and students hit hard by the loss, and it was a noticeable one. On the other hand, it showed a beautiful side of people. During an all-school meeting, it was amazing to see children hugging and comforting each other, really caring about one another. For a little while, we were a lot less of a school, and a lot more of a big family. That’s by far one of the things I like the most about where I work.
WrestleFest has come and gone, not without it’s own drama. JC was worried about the attendance the whole time, but I assured him frequently that it’d be fine. I don’t know how I knew, I just knew. The turnout was good, and the crowd itself was great! They were very much into the whole show. My return match was decent, and my “death” sequence was cut short. I was disappointed at the time that it didn’t play out how I would have liked it too, but myself and Volpe have already figured out a work-around that’ll make it work. Lots of work to do in the off-season, including several creative meetings and making entrance videos for everyone.
There’s a craft fair in Rochester coming up on Dec, 6th (I’ll post more specifics about the event soon). Every year several teachers from the school participate by selling one thing or another. After some discussions in the lunch room, I was asked to participate and sell the chocolates that I make around Christmastime every year. I’ve thought of selling them in the past, but never actually got around to it. The fair gives me a good opportunity to start that process. Maybe I’ll get into making different stuff around holiday seasons year round. I’ve already gone out and bought about 58 lbs. of chocolate, so I’m gonna be a busy guy between now and Christmas. I started production the other night and made about 50 peanut butter cups in 2 1/2 hours. I’m a machine!
That’s a long enough post for now I think. Stay tuned, I’m sure there’s more on the way.
NCW presents WrestleFest IV
Friday, November 7th, 2008
Jacob Jones VFW Post 84 Eastern Avenue
Dedham, MA
Doors open @ 7:30pm, 8pm bell time
Tickets $8 @ the door kids under 10 only $5!
When WrestleFest IV arrives at the Jacob Jones Post on November 7th, two of NCW’s most vital stars face off with the Heavyweight Championship hanging in the balance. Doug Summers’ epic reign as NCW Champion came to a screeching halt August 22nd at HEATWAVE when David Loomis finally did what he set out to do utilizing his WrestleFest Title shot against Summers immediately following Doug’s grueling Title Match against Evan “Hawkeye” Hunter. With manager JC Marxxx in his corner Loomis barreled over Summers, finishing him off with his vicious kneebreaker from the second rope. Loomis has become an unstoppable force in NCW since his return from injury, putting Doug into the role of challenger for the first time since January 2007. Will WrestleFest be the true changing of the guard if Summers can’t survive?
It’s only fitting that the battle between Richard Pacifico and the monster Cenobite ends in what’s being called The Boston Massacre, a brutal all out war for the NCW New England Championship at WrestleFest. Even after Pacifico defeated Cenobite in their Falls Count Anywhere Match to win the New England Title in June, Cenobite tortured and stalked him, even stealing the New England belt and nearly choking him to death at Hostile Takeover. With his back up against the wall and even his girlfriend getting caught in the crossfire Pacifico has no choice but to travel to the depths of hell to face Cenobite one final time, putting everything on the line.
The night that Tim Pittman, Jon Thornhill, and Amber joined forces at the Jacob Jones VFW Post could only be described as magical. Forming the union of Generation SLAM, the trio stole the hearts of the Dedham faithful when they outlasted three other tag teams to win the NCW Tag Team Title Invitational, becoming Tag Team Champions after Jon Thornhill forced Scotty Vegas into submission with his “Thornlock”. That was on October 5th, 2005 and since then Gen SLAM has evolved into NCW’s greatest tag team, taking on all competition and anyone who wanted a challenge. Even when Tim Pittman left for Japan Generation SLAM remained in the hearts of NCW fans, and when Pittman returned to the states this past July they immediately made a splash by defeating one of NCW’s premiere tag teams Zero Tolerance. The reigning NCW Tag Team Champions Brandon Webb and Anthony Stone still have a lot to prove, and are not so different from the Pittman/Thornhill combo. In all fairness “The Kreeper” has been on an incredible roll this Season, winning the Tag Team Titles in a Tag Team Invitational, only with partner Mike Volpe instead. Volpe, who needed some time off to heal his injured knee replaced himself with Stone, a newcomer to NCW who has shown tremendous promise in his first few matches. Embracing themselves as The Airdevils, the Champs head into a situation they can not prepare for, taking on what many consider the most dominant tag team in NCW today. Are they up for the test?
Tim Kilgore and his cousin JC Marxxx have never exactly seen eye to eye, and after years of mounting tension between the two things came to ahead in June when Kilgore walked out on JC’s protégé David Loomis, costing him a victory over “Textbook” Dean Porteau & Doug Summers in the process. Since then JC has sent the dogs after Kilgore, trying to push him over the edge and out of NCW forever. With JC still in control over his cousin’s contract Marxxx has promised one of Tim’s toughest challengers yet come WrestleFest. Could it be someone from Zero Tolerance? A foe from Kilgore’s past? Come November 7th Kilgore may be put through the ringer one more time en route to his redemption.
“The Showoff” Mike Paiva has done everything he’s set out to do since declaring war on the NCW Originals back at Silence the Violence VII, and at WrestleFest he comes face to face with arguably the biggest NCW Original of all time in the form of John Pimentel, better known as the former Ruy Batello. Word has it that Pimentel has personally requested interview time in Dedham to say goodbye once and for all to his fans, while also acknowledging the accomplishments that his former rival has achieved since “The Showoff” started this whole declaration.
With NCW’s inaugural 2007-2008 Season drawing to a close November 7th, officials have put together the first ever Season Cup, a last chance for many of NCW’s stars to make a splash and earn the opportunity to call themselves the best of the season. Evan “Hawkeye” Hunter, the former New England Champion has thrown his cowboy hat into the mix, looking for a chance to prove himself coming off a close loss to Doug Summers at HEATWAVE. “Textbook” Dean Porteau, one of the most popular big men in NCW today has also earned entry into the Cup and without a doubt instantly becomes an odds on favorite to win the whole thing. The supreme ruler and overlord of the great State Of Maine the former NCW Tag Team Champion Scotty Vegas will find himself in this years Cup. Despite not being seen in action since his loss to Doug Summers in July at Hostile Takeover Vegas along with his partner Johnny Primer look to cement Scotty Vegas as the best of NCW.
After nearly 11 months, Rob Impact makes his much anticipated return to NCW rings at WrestleFest IV, just in time for the close of the tumultuous 2007-2008 Season. Impact, no stranger to NCW with the battles he’s had with Tim Kilgore and Cenobite looks to kick off a brand new era as his batteries have been recharged and his energy is high as he locks into singles competition in Dedham!
The reigning Connecticut Champion Michael Tootsie Esquire will be in the house November 7th, as he calls for a special State Of CT Address (in MA) to decree himself the greatest Connecticut Champion who’s ever lived. And with great respects Mister MTE has requested the challenge of the greatest Connecticut wrestler who will never be Champion, “Textbook” Dean Porteau to face him one on one. Despite pulling in double duty that night Porteau has accepted the challenge, looking for any chance to shut MTE up and knock him around. MTE has stated however that since this Match is in Massachussetts, it will be a Non Title affair.
