2008
This weekend was easily one of the better I’ve had in awhile. Saturday morning I went to JC’s place in Pawtucket bright and early for an NCW creative meeting. We’re finishing off the 2007-2008 season very soon, and we’re really trying to step things up for next season. Upgrades will hopefully be happening in our planning, storylines, gimmicks, and overall production value. I’m very excited to be moving forward in a more cohesive, business-like manner than we have in the past. It should make a big difference in the product that we present.
Saturday afternoon Mikey and Stacey came over. We went out to dinner at Friday’s (the cherry limeade slush is my new favorite thing) then came back here to watch Iron Man, hi-def of course…I’m loving Blu-ray. They stayed the night because on Sunday…

…we went to King Richard’s Faire. This was a first for me, and a first in awhile for them. We’d meant to go for years, but one thing or another always prevented it. This year the weather was absolutely beautiful, a perfect day to go. We got there right at the opening at 10:30 am and met up with Matt and Sarah inside. While we were waiting for their friends Brian and Mary to show up, Matt and I attempted to climb “Jacob’s Ladder”, which was much harder than it appeared. Neither of us could pull it off. Some of the other things we saw were the opening of the joust competition, “The Mud Show“, and the “Aerial Angels.” Overall it was a fun event, but not something to visit every year. I heard a lot of the stuff was very similar to years prior. The food prices were outrageous as well (turkey leg: $9.50 / small lemonade: $3.50), so myself, Mikey, and Stacey all waited until we left to eat.
Today was very low-key. I shopped for groceries, made my protein snacks for the week, and had plenty of time to make myself a nice chicken parmesan for dinner. I should have leftovers for a day or two with that one. Gonna need to play around with the recipe a little bit too. I winged it and it was good, but it could be better. Back to work tomorrow!

For a change I actually have plans way ahead of time for next weekend.
The lineup so far:

- Sunday: King Richard’s Faire with Mikey & Stacey (we’ve been trying to go for years!) update: Matt & Sarah are coming now too!
- Monday: So far nothing planned, but it’s Columbus Day so I’m free! Who wants to hang?

This weekend was fun, but brief. I met up with Alex and Anna amongst others at Dave & Buster’s on Friday night. Saturday morning I made a trip to the ATM. As the guy in front of me left the machine I noticed the machine still said, “Would you like to make another transaction?”. It dawns on me that the dude left his card in the machine. I could’ve totally cashed out, but being the upstanding citizen I am, I popped out the card and delivered it to the tellers. Who wants that crap on their conscience?
For lunch, I went with Mikey and Stacey to Fire & Ice. I hadn’t been there before but DAMN it was good food. The cooking staff was very entertaining as well. After that we saw Harry Potter in the IMAX theater…my xmas present to them. I hung out at their place for a bit afterward, but headed home before the snow began. Lack of traveling options killed the rest of the weekend, just had a lazy sunday. (reference, reference)
I think I’m getting sick of “blogging”. I just don’t care about it that much anymore. I’ve had these thoughts before. The only people who read them are people I talk to anyway, at least I think that’s the case. Do people really care about what I did last weekend or what meaningless thoughts are going through my head at any given time? I couldn’t be that important.
Anyway, February vacation is next week. Right now I don’t really have plans during the weekdays aside from planning for a summer thing my brother and I will hopefully be doing. Anyone available to hang…and actually want to?

The holidays have gone quite well so far. Friday night I stayed over at Mikey & Stacey’s place. We spent most of the time playing Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones which they so graciously purchased for me. I’ve since beaten the game and completed the epic trilogy. Christmas eve was spent at Marc & Jenn’s house. They had a pretty good showing and tons of food prepared for their first xmas in the new house. Christmas day I spent with the immediate family. We don’t really do the extended family thing anymore. A “gifts from the family” run-down:
- a digital camera, finally!
- new office chair
- Batman Begins
- Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
- The Billy Madison/Happy Gilmore Collection
- Star Wars PEZ collection
- a flying bat which goes in circles once hanging from my ceiling
- and the funniest gift of them all, a WWE mug complete with Smackdown Cocoa…oh yeah, you read that correct
