TV’s Sexiest Women

Given the recent list put out by TV Guide, and their ridiculous claim that Eva Longoria is the sexiest woman on TV, I’ve decided to come up with my own list. My only criteria for my list is that the show has to be currently running (not syndicated) and the character must be a recurring one (at least 5 episodes) and somewhat current (appeared within the last year). This eliminates a lot of people who might have made the list, but have only appeared in one episode of a series (namely Serinda Swan as Zatanna on last week’s Smallville). I’m also eliminating reality television, just because I want to. Be prepared to see some bias based on the shows that I watch. Given that I did a little research outside of that, it would make sense that I’d think primarily of the people that I see on TV on a  consistent basis.

#10 – Missy Peregrym – “Reaper”

Geeking out

So I was watching this week’s episode of Heroes, one of my favorite new shows, and George Takei (Sulu in the original Star Trek and announcer on the Howard Stern Show) was guest-starring as Hiro’s father.

As the story is going along, we come to a point where Hiro hugs his father and they say their farewells. Takei heads over to his limo…

Hiro then says his farewells to his sister and she heads for the limo as well. She, however, passes behind the limo to get to the other side. I realize this normally wouldn’t be significant, but then I notice the license plate. I regularly don’t examine license plates in TV shows, but this one stood out like a beacon to me.

The license plate number NCC-1701 is the same as the registry number for the original U.S.S. Enterprise on which Takei’s character Sulu was helmsman!

Yes, I realize this is some major geeking out, but I can’t help it. Although I was never really into the original series I was a huge fan of Star Trek: TNG and DS9. You tend to pick up things from the other series as well. So I guess, once a Trekkie, always a Trekkie.
